  6. Check out our website http://www.creatoon.com on a regular basis for new or
  7. updated versions, tutorials, manuals and other information.

  9. This CD-ROM contains a reduced copy of the CreaToon website.
  10.  
  11. Hence, the best way to view its contents is to go to the directory 
  12. "Website" and to open the file "index.html" in your web browser.
  13.  
  14. (If you do that now, you most probably don't need to read the rest of
  15. this README file.)

  18. The website contained in this CD-ROM gives you all the necessary 
  19. information about CreaToon:
  20. - a list of features
  21. - a download page where you can find the installation program, 
  22.   a demo project and the reference manual
  23. - a tips & tricks page with animated tutorials; 
  24.   these should get you up to speed with CreaToon very quickly
  25. - a samples page with some animations (in AVI format) created with CreaToon
  26.

  28. Recommended browsers:
  29. - Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x or higher
  30.     (installation files for IE5.01 are included on the CD-ROM)
  31. - Netscape Navigator 4.06 or higher

  34. Installation of CreaToon
  35. ------------------------

  37. This CD-ROM contains a fully functional demo version of CreaToon.
  38. Just run CreaToonSetup.exe and follow the on-screen instructions.
  39. (Note: you can also activate the install program via the download page
  40. of the website.)
  41.  
  42. Important: In this demo version, a watermark is automatically 
  43. superimposed on the rendered images.
  44. After ordering CreaToon, you'll receive a registration number, 
  45. which will allow you to get rid of the watermarking.

  47. Use either the on-line fax form or the enclosed paper form to order CreaToon.

  50. What if you don't have a browser installed on your machine?
  51. ----------------------------------------------------------

  53. No problem. In the subdirectory IE5Setup\en, run ie5setup.exe 
  54. to install Internet Explorer 5.01 on your machine.

  57. What if you don't want to install a broswer on your machine?

  60. Again, no problem:

  62. go to the "Website" subdirectory and run CreaToonSetup.exe
  63. to install CreaToon.

  65. Other important files in this subdirectory:
  66. - RefMan.1.2.3.3.PDF: Reference manual
  67. - Ivar1_2.zip: demo project; this ZIP file is also available in unzipped format
  68.   in the directory \Ivar of this CD-ROM
  69. - the subdirectory AVI contains some sample movies

  71. Unfortunately, the animated tutorials cannot be opened without a browser.

  74. Help! I cannot open the reference manual: what's a PDF file?

  77. PDF files can be read with the Acrobat Reader.
  78. The subdirectory AcroRead of this CD-ROM contains the setup program for
  79. version 4 of this free program by Adobe.
